Room darkening

Sometimes, the absence of light is important to the overall design or function of a room. Bedrooms used during the day, or specialised media rooms require the ability to completely eliminate all outside light. 10mm Nightfall and 20mm Midnight are ideal solution for room darkening.

Humid rooms

Rooms prone to humidity and condensation can, over time, damage blinds or shades not designed to withstand those conditions. DUETTE shades are ideal for humid rooms or spaces.

Sloping roof windows and Skylights

DUETTE Shades are particularly suited to cover sloped windows, conservatories and skylights. DUETTES can be operated with cord control or an optional extension pole.

Design options 

Whether you want a soft filtering effect or complete control of the sun, there is a DUETTE Shade operating system to meet your needs.

Top-Down Shades 

Shades lower from the top only, which allows light in whilst maintaining privacy. Available with Ultraglide, Easy Rise and Standard Cord Lock Operating Systems. 

Top Down / Bottom Up Shades

Moving centre rail and bottom rail, open the shade top down, bottom up or both. This enables you to enjoy increased light control and enhanced privacy. Available with Ultraglide and Standard Cord Lock Operating Systems.

Day-Night Shade 

Having two fabrics on one shade provides the ultimate solution for both light control and privacy, as you simply adjust the amount of each fabric you would like to see, this is ideal for bedrooms. Available with Ultraglide, Standard Cord Lock and Ultraglide Operating System.

OPERATING OPTIONS

Standard Cord Lock 

Shades stack at the top of the slim headrail for a simple traditional look. Cords can be neatly secured around cord cleats when the shade is raised. 

Ultraglide Shades 

ULTRAGLIDE Shades incorporate an innovative lifting system that allows you to operate your shade using a single retractable cord maintaining a consistent cord length regardless of the position of the blind.

EasyRise Shades

The EasyRise Lifting System offers a continuous cord loop for easy movement of the shade. This cord is fixed to the wall so it cannot form a loop.

LiteRise Shades

LUXAFLEX DUETTE LiteRise Lifting System is a completely cordless system for operating energy efficient DUETTE Shades, for the ultimate in child safety.  With the LiteRise Lifting System, your DUETTE Shade is simply raised or lowered with your hand on the bottomrailof the blind.

PowerRise Shades

For ultimate convenience and control DUETTE Shades can be easily automated with your choice of wall switch, automated or remote options that are perfect for hard to reach windows. 

Energy benefits

LUXAFLEX DUETTE Shades are one of the most energy efficient blinds on the market. The distinctive honeycomb cells of the  DUETTE fabrics trap air creating air pockets that act as an insulator. This process achieves insulating results in a similar way achieved by the double glazing of a glass window. A white heat reflective fabric is used on the external face window side of the cell structure to reflect solar heat and aid the insulation process.                                 

The areas in red indicate where your house is losing most of its heat. You can make substantial savings to your energy costs with DUETTE Shades.

EasyRise & ULTRAGLIDE® Headrail

Uniform Headrail Design: The Headrail offers a sleek and uniform Headrail design for both EasyRise and ULTRAGLIDE.

The Fabric Covered Valances are supplied on all EasyRise and ULTRAGLIDE Operating Systems. The smooth and even weave of the valance has excellent care and cleaning properties, which makes it easy to clean.

Improved Colour Co-ordination: The fabric covered valance is available in 22 different colours, which will provide colour co-ordination for the EasyRise and ULTRAGLIDE Operating Systems. The valance colours have been matched to the existing Standard Cord Lock hardware colours to allow for greater colour co-ordination amongst DUETTE Shades product offer.

Cleaning

LUXAFLEX DUETTE Shades cellular fabric is made from anti-static non-woven polyester that aids in the resistance to dust making the durable fabric easy to clean and maintain.

Dusting: regular light dusting with a feather duster or soft cloth maintains a like-new appearance.

Vacuuming: for deeper cleaning, vacuum gently with a brush attachment of any vacuum cleaner. Most products may be vacuumed using vertical strokes.

Spot Cleaning: Spot-cleaning shades and blinds with soft cloth or sponge moistened with lukewarm water. Add mild detergent if needed blot gently to avoid creasing or damaging the fabric rubbing can damage fabrics. Spot cleaning my result in showing up cleaner areas.

Note: when cleaning windows, spray glass cleaner on a cloth rather than spraying directly on the window. This will prevent damage to the fabrics by splattering cleaner.
