Fade Resistance

Here in New Zealand, it’s safe to say we are all aware of the dangers of the sun. One sunburn too many quickly reminds you of the damage caused by our UV. Just like our skin, all surfaces are affected by UV, including our blinds. But unlike sunburns, when it comes to other surfaces, they tend to fade. Between carpets, bbq covers, curtains and car paint we aware of the effect.

You can hang our blinds with confidence knowing that Luxaflex fabrics undergo stringent testing to ensure they resist fading and maintain their original appearance for many years to come. How do we do this? We test all our fabrics for colour or light fastness on a scale of 1 to 8, 8 being the most fade resistant exposure to light. As for our fabrics, we are only happy with a 6 or above. Compared to many other fabrics in Australasia that don’t even pass these tests, we know who we would go with.

Fire Retardant

Compulsory in any commercial environment, fire retardant fabrics shouldn’t be overlooked in our home scenarios either. Protecting against the ‘what-if’, Luxaflex fire retardant fabrics have been designed specifically to inhibit the spread of flames and smoke in the event of a fire.

Verosol® SilverScreen 205

Maintain an excellent outlook on life with our Semi-transparent Verosol® SilverScreen 205 metal backed fabric. Exclusive to Luxaflex® Roller Blinds, dramatically reduce heat and glare at the window, independent of colour choice.

Constructed from a hard wearing metalised PVC Coated Fibreglass, Verosol® SilverScreen 205 has a nanolayer of aluminium applied on the outside facing side of the fabrics. This ultra-thin layer covers only the fibres and leaves the weave and textile properties intact, unlike other methods of application.
