The Luxaflex® brand was created in the 1950s, when the Hunter Douglas company invented the extraordinary aluminium casting and production process that enabled the production of metal Venetian Blinds. They called their Aluminium Blinds ‘Luxaflex®’ (flexible light), and so a legend was born.

In New Zealand Luxaflex® products are manufactured and marketed by New Zealand Window Shades (NZWS). Established in 1992, NZWS leads the window coverings market in New Zealand. From their manufacturing and marketing headquarters in Auckland, they supply an extensive network of stockists with made-to-measure Luxaflex® products. They also support the comprehensive warranty that comes with every Luxaflex® Window Shades.
